Capcom releases a new batch of images of Devil May Cry 4, still planned to be released at the end of the month on 360 and PS3. Some of the screens are really beautiful.
Did you guys even play the original? That statue isn't based on anything from NG or GOW. In DMC1 (which came out in 2001), Mundus possessed a huge statue. I believe he's making a return in this game.

I'm 100% sure that it was first programmed for the PS2 and then ported to the next gen consoles.
And I'm 100% sure that you are either a complete artard or just trolling. The game doesn't look like Gears but it sure as hell doesn't look bad, that's for sure.
Synce: That much more interesting, or that much more spoiled? :P Let's hope it's just a flaky rumor, cause i didn't want to know that if it's true. But then again the whole statue thing kind of reminds me of the ending in DMC1. And it IS very reminiscent of Vigoor from NG, since he is basically a giant white statue too. Only with wings on the head instead of horns, lest my memory betray me.
Can't wait to put my hands on it. I am actually playing DMC 1, wich is by the way a really good game. I just hope this one turns out to be a better one that the third installment in the series.
haha the missile pod looks ridiculous. The more absurd this game is the better for me. Hopefully their relaxed attitude towards releasing shots of such a significant looking boss means we can expect to be headbutting planets out of galaxies towards the end of the game.
For those complaining about this game's graphics, it uses an updated version of Lost Planet's engine.
I'll admit it doesn't look mind blowing but when you consider it runs at 60FPS and the sheer fast paced nature of the game, then you can understand why it might not look so hot in places.
It runs on 60 fps, has on the fly weapon switching(guns and swords) and style switching, with hordes of action on the screen at once. Adding to it the size of that statue and that huge draw distance, I would say It's pretty stunning to say the least. Specially when it's in motion.
The two reviews so far said that while the game doesn't bring anything jaw-droppingly new in the graphics department, but it still looks strangely phenomenal, with the exception of very few areas. Which is bound to happen in any game out there. I for one am so glad it shaped up to look this good.(The pics still don't do the game any justice, they are filled with aliasing and sharp edges, which are not visible when the game is in motion)
It looks like more and more games are taking on the lead of "god of war" and "Shadow of the Colossus" games, as they are promoting more upclose and personal and interactive fights with absolutely gigantic bosses... which is a great thing !

Can't wait for this game it looks amazing
You're right. Although it ain't no "god of war 2" quality beautiful yet, but still looks amazing at places, at least uptil now it pretty much leaves Ninja Gaiden 2 behind...
Sure, if you want a game running at 60FPS, you can´t ask for detail and textures like in Gears of War, but, anyway, DMC4 looks so great (Allways having the 60FPS in mind)

But man, that Pandora case, shift shape to everything :P
Remember guys it goes at 60 fps, so dmc4 will (moreso than other games) have that extra kick and pop when you see it in motion.
I guess i missed a lot on part 2 and 3 considering the change i can see here
