Final Fantasy VII Remake finally has a release date: March 3 2020 on PS4 of course. Square Enix also released a few new images, along with a trailer. Update: trailer with a worthy quality added.
This game looks amazing, everything they showed and talked about was amazing. The fact that the content in this first episode will fit in 2 blu-ray discs is really something. Hopefully it will last for 40-60 hours if you complete it 100%.
As someone who played the game back when it was released, this looks incredible. The best showing of any game at E3 (well WD3 is impressively ambitious), and graphically it looks amazing.
looks gorgeous. so it seems to me they are going to release the game like hitman. otherwise they should have named it episode one or FF VII Remake - Midgar or things like that.

I especially love the $330 Collector's Edition for half a game lol

I believe the Cloud Strife & Hardy Daytona statues/figures alone cost around $200-250. There's an old 2008 edition of the set called "Final Fantasy Vii 7 Play Arts Vol. 1 Cloud And Hardy Daytona" that costs around $200. In my country, that's 1.750 bucks.
I'm not trying to defend paying this high for such things, just pointing out that according to market prices for such things, those contents are priced reasonable. I remember the Games and Animes Expos I went to and the statues/action figures I saw were always very expensive.
I also remember seeing a 25cm/10 inches Advent Children Cloud Strife - no bike - statue that cost almost 1.000 bucks and how that and the other statues/action figures prices shocked me at the time. Now I'm used to it. It's for collector's only, basically people with spare money to burn or that love these things as much as the game, so I don't mind.
It looks so good. Hopefully, because the entire first part is in Midgar, there will be far more story and moments than in the original game. Like when you get to Tifa's bar, there is a whole city to explore with lots to do, before you decide to push on with the story. Then again, maybe not lol.
Trailer needs reuploading. Every 4th frame is displayed twice which produces judder. I'm no expert but it might come from a conversion from 24 to 30fps. The frameorder goes like this:
1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8,....

NO! It's WORSE!! Frame order compared with YT:
1, 3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 10,......
Seems like first 30p > 24p dropping 2nd frame every 5 frames, THEN 24p > 30p duplicating last frame every 5 frames \OoO/!!!
