Movie makes less sense but there's nothing stopping you using it to title a YouTube video. People would know what you meant either way.

Can you just keep all these daily random questions in one thread? There really doesn't need to be 12 threads.

Because a non disclosure agreement is a legal agreement between publishers and journalists for games that are not out yet. Once those games hit retail they will also be free to record. Plus NDA's for games typically time out after an agreed upon date. so any footage recorded prior can then be released publicly on and after said date.

fair use only applies to what you post online. whether you keep the "raw" files or not is irrelevant.

Other question if i pirate exmple 2 games and i record a lot of gameplays? does the video recorded count as pirate form me its not an reproduction plus i dont know derivative works is it like that or im wrong?

the recorded footage of a hypothetical pirated game could be evidence of you illegally downloading a game, but the footage itself would not be pirated.

and whether it would even be evidence depends on the game and whether it has any tell-tale signs it's not a legitimate copy. most devs don't do that sort of thing though so there's no way anyone would know.

and again, it is based on whether you upload the footage in the first place. if you hypothetically pirate a game and then record footage of the game and then never distribute that footage, no-one but you is going to see it so it's irrelevant either way.

don't know. other people have recorded crysis using fraps. maybe your PC isn't capable of running both the game and the capture software at the same time?

this conversation is just going around in circles.

you don't seem to have any desire to upload the footage of games you've recorded. so it's all a non-issue. keep recording footage. keep watching it. it's fine.

yes, and the guy you're talking about says "I think the question essentially comes down to what are you going to do with that video ?"

and as has been established over and over again, you have no intention of putting that video online. no-one but you will see it. and thus you will not earn money from it. so as is aid before. it doesn't matter. it's a non-issue. keep recording footage. keep watching it. it's fine.

you're not being safe you're being fucking annoying. a broken record going around in circles asking the same thing over and over and over.

you're not breaking any laws by recording yourself playing a game and not sharing it. devs lose nothing. publishers lose nothing. you gain nothing.

i'm done, you've got an answer. all you're doing is repeating yourself at this point.
