Square Enix unveiled during Sony's State of Play Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, a new enhanced version of the game coming June 10th 2021 on PS5. The title includes all expected improvements such as better visuals, Graphics Mode and Performance Mode, haptic feedback integration, faster loading times. The new content is a new episode with Yuffie Kisaragi as the main character. A free upgrade will be offered to PS4 owners but it won't include the new episode which will be also sold separately.

I want FFVII DLC made for all platforms where said FFVII game is available, and not moneyhats to block it, just so they can sell "not on shelves" consoles. sucks. balls.

They made FF games for "all platforms" the past decade (FFXIII, FFXV) and they sucked balls like you put it. It clearly wasn't working. Focus on making a great FF game on a single platform then port it elsewhere later, exactly like with the original FFVII.

I payed for the system that the game was advertised they would sell it. bought and bought. Now they decide to do a low-effort port, and leave the original platform without DLC of the same game? This isn't Next-gen DLC, Not DLC of the next game. They just are mindless lapdogs to moneyhats and care none on supporting their previous releases if they whiff easy money or a possibilitty of milking/mtx. All this FFVII battle royalle. FFVII android "cutscene simulator" of FFVII saga.

No wonder: Dragon Quest shenanigans should been a given.

On the plus side this PS5 DLC means the next game will be only on ps5 and won't suffer from the same problems that riddled the ps4 release of the first game.

Don't you think moneyhats would have forced the devs to develop the DLC for the platform with the most users instead of PS5 which is nowhere to be found? could they have released the DLC for both? yeah sure. but it would have taken more time to optimize it for ps4 and I personally prefer they spend that time and money on developing the next game instead of a DLC with Yuffie. By the time the next game comes out we will be far into this gen's life cycle and I see this DLC as a way of them saying "the next game is a PS5 exclusive"

I and all of my friends that actually wanted one were able to get PS5s. If you're diligent and really want one, they're not that hard to get. There are numerous people helping out providing free monitoring services. As long as you're paying attention and move quickly, it isn't vaporware. And to call anything vaporware when there's a global silicon shortage is foolish. Also foolish is not predicting that everything FF VII Remake related would transition to PS5 once that hardware became available. People that worked on the game said it themselves. Not about to try to go look for the interview but one of the people working on the game said they expected the game to transition smoothly to PS5 once the hardware released. Also, in response to your other comment, I don't think it's a "low-effort" port at all. They're making actual changes to image quality instead of just unlocking the framerate. Which, even that I would have been happy with. But improving textures, lighting, effects, and load times? They could honestly charge a few bucks for that upgrade and I'd understand.
