Our video of the first Resident Evil Village demo

The Resident Evil Village demo became available on PS4 and PS5 earlier today at 7pm CEST, so here is a full walkthrough with ray tracing activated - which unsurprisingly causes some framerate issues. This trial version is way too short to be sure that this new episode will be as great as the previous one, but at least it allowed us to see what to expect on terms of exploration and narrative sequences. Gunplay makes a brief appearance, but since handguns have never truly been excellent in terms of feedback in the series, there is nothing to write home about. Those who thought Ethan was to slow when it came to running or aiming will most likely feel the same while those who enjoyed RE7 will feel right at home. The next part of the demo will come out on April 25 on PS4 and PS5 and it will take us inside the castle this time.
Update: HDR video added, this time without ray tracing for a smoother experience.
Update 2: FPS analysis video added.

Final tour de France on Flight Simulator

After our capital and the west coast of our beautiful country, we're now heading south, east and finally north so you get a glimpse of some of the places you may know or not. Resident Evil Village demo and more

If you know Capcom by now, you're aware that the Japanese publisher is fond of special events to create the appropriate buzz around a big title. Just like with Resident Evil 7 biohazard and Monster Hunter Rise recently, a time-limited demo of Resident Evil Village will be made available with a bunch of constraints attached to it. If you own a PS4 or PS5, you will be able to get access to the first section of the demo on April 18 and will be given 8 hours to download it and 30 minutes to play it. The second section of the demo will unlock on April 25, with the same limit of time than the first one. This trial version will arrive on the other systems (Xbox and PC) on May 2 and will allow people to play it for 60 minutes only too. Hopefully, we got everything right as it is a bit complicated for a simple demo after all. Capcom also confirmed the return of the Mercenaries mode as well as the future release of Resident Evil 4 on Oculus Quest 2. A new trailer was of the Netflix series was also shown if you're interested in more than just the upcoming game. All the assets are inside.

Mortal Shell adds DLSS and RTX

Not only did Mortal Shell receive a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S update recently, but it didn't forget the PC version. The game now features NVIDIA's DLSS and Ray Tracing (on shadows only), as you can see in the following video we captured earlier today. Just so you know, we chose the DLSS performance mode.

Paris and its surroundings in Flight Simulator

Microsoft Flight Simulator remains a very demanding game even limiting the graphics to high and when using a resolution scaling setting set to 70%. We're taking you for a short flight in Paris, with a quick detour in the southern suburbs where I live in the very beginning. Oddly enough, I find the pop-in more visible now than it used to be at launch, but maybe that's just me getting old and forgetting such minor details...
Update: One video added, this time focusing on the west of France.

Our videos of Outriders on Series X

Outriders has been plagued with connectivity issues ever since it launched and it's a real shame because despite some flaws, it's really a fun game to play, even on one's own. We really enjoy building our character, modding our armor and weapons and choosing our skills so that it all fits our playstyle, there is a real sense of progression in that regard. Gunplay is also very satisfying and if it were not for the issues we sometimes encounter with the cover system and the fact that we're not too fond of the rolling movement, we wouldn't have anything to complain about when it comes to the gameplay mechanics. The story and game world may not be particularly original, but it's enough to keep us going despite the lackluster cutscenes and the dated character faces. That being said, there really is no excuse for the online problems the game has been having, especially for those who wish to play on their own. Something Game Pass owners might be able to accept for now, but that all those who purchased their own copy on day one understandably find it very difficult to accept. Let's hope the first big patch announced for next week will finally allow everyone to play normally.

Harold Halibut impressive video and images

Harold Halibut may not be the first story-driven adventure game based on stop-motion animation but it features such a great level of detail and smooth animations that it is bound to draw attention. German developer Slow Bros. has yet to announce a specific release date on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but rest assured we'll keep you posted as we definitely want to give it a try.
